About Brass Cove
Brass Cove is a small editorial team that writes honest guides about modern dating. We test the apps we cover, fund our own accounts, and don't take payment for placement in reviews.
We started in 2024 because the existing "best dating app" listicles were all the same five apps in the same order, every time. We figured someone should actually try the platforms and write down what happened.
How we test
For every app we cover, our testers run accounts for at least two weeks. We track real metrics — match-to-conversation rates, reply timings, fake-profile rates, time-to-first-meet — and weight our rankings on those numbers, not on press releases.
Our editorial policy
- We accept affiliate commissions from platforms we recommend. We never accept payment for editorial decisions.
- If our recommendations change, we update the article and note the change date.
- We don't write paid placements disguised as editorial.
